Klamath Falls, OR – August 2nd, 2006 – South Valley Bank & Trust announced today the appointment of Cori Price, to the American Bankers Association’s (ABA) Agricultural and Rural Bankers Committee.

According to William E. “Bill” Castle, President & CEO of South Valley Bank & Trust, “We are very pleased to have a member of our staff appointed to this important ABA committee.”   “Ms. Price, currently a Commercial Loan Officer/Relationship Officer at the Lakeview Branch of South Valley, has over ten years of  experience in commercial and agricultural lending at our bank, and we feel that her extensive lending background will allow her to make a significant contribution to the 2006-2007 ABA leadership team’s efforts,” he adds.

The mission of the ABA Agricultural and Rural Bankers Committee, formed in 1914, is to provide information, programs, and policy recommendations which offer an opportunity for improvement and management of banks that provide financial products and services to agricultural and rural America.  The committee provides direction and guidance to the staff of the ABA Center for Agricultural and Rural Banking.  Thirteen to fourteen bankers from across the country are appointed to serve on the committee each year.  Since 1914, only four other Oregonians have served on this ABA committee, and Price is the first woman from this state to have been selected to serve on this committee.

Ms. Price received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an accounting focus from Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon.  She has pursued specialized training in agricultural lending by graduating from Western Agricultural Banking School at Washington State University.  Ms. Price, a dedicated volunteer in her local community, has served as a United Way Loaned executive and treasurer, Lakeview Rotary treasurer, Lake County Hay Grower Association treasurer, Lake Health District budget committee member.  She is currently a Rotarian and a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of the Lake County Hay Grower Association and the Lake County Jr. Rodeo Association and is the treasurer of the Fremont Highlanders Ski Club.
